Kenneth M. WEISSBERG, born May 24th
1952 in Paris, is a dual citizen of
France and of the United States. He
was called to the Bar of Paris in 1979,
and has practiced ever since as an Attorney,
specialized in International Business
Law.
Mr. WEISSBERG began his practice as
an Associate Attorney with the reputed
Paris law firm GIDE LOYRETTE NOUEL,
in the Department of Foreign Investments
in France, Corporations and Bankruptcies.
In 1981, he joined the French Office
of a Montreal based Canadian law firm
of which he became a Partner in 1986
after having built up a Litigation department,
specialized in International transactions
and resolution of disputes.
In 1991, Mr. WEISSBERG and two of his
German Partners, Mr. Kay GAETJENS and
Mr. Gerd ZIEGENFEUTER, decided to start
a new professional corporation geared
towards a French and German client base,
as well as a North American clientele.
Mr. WEISSBERG has applied all his efforts
to the international development of
the firm, which has today offices in
Paris, Nice, Lyon, New York, Miami,
Montreal, Toronto, Buenos Aires, Beyrouth,
and Cameroon and covers the full spectrum
of legal services available in the international
field.
While the core of the firm in France
is made of 15 Attorneys, WGZ & associés,
can rely on the resources of a task
force of close to 1,200 Lawyers trough
CONSULEGIS, the International network
to which it belongs.
Mr. WEISSBERG holds a “Maîtrise
de Droit Privé” of the
University of Nice (France) and a Master
of International Law of New York University.
He is admitted to the Bar of New York
as a Legal Consultant since 1986, and
to the Bar of Florida since 2000 as
a Foreign Legal Consultant. He was appointed
Counsellor to the National Board of
Foreign Trade by the French Government
(Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur
de la France) in 1998, and participates
in this quality to a great number of
symposiums and conferences, the purpose
of which is to make French investments
abroad easier. His commission was renewed
by decree of the prime minister in 2001
and again in 2004.
Mr. WEISSBERG actively participates
to the works of the International Commission
of the Paris Bar. He publishes articles
on international law and teaches at
the School of the Paris Bar.
Mr. WEISSBERG has in the course of
his carrier, counselled a large number

Mr. WEISSBERG is known for is expertise
in complex international litigation
including industrial plants breakdowns,
white collar and corporate fraud, international
bankruptcies, in aviation matters covering
arbitration between airline companies,
recovery and seizure of aircraft, sale
and leasing of aircraft, disputes for
collection of damages in air –crashes
and in arbitration of disputes with
the United Nations about the implementation
of public tenders.
